Pink Perfection

Cardigan: Forever 21, Tee Shirt: Smart Set, Skirt: Unknown (thrifted), Shoes: Payless

This ballerina-esque, baby pink skirt reminds me of that infamous one that Carrie Bradshaw wears in the opening credits of Sex and the City. I always loved how she wore that crazy skirt with such comfort and ease, but I never imagined that I would be gutsy enough to try it. I’ve had this skirt for a while now and look at it lovingly every so often, but have never worn it in public before. Not because I don’t think it looks good, but because I was worried about what other people would think of it. Then I saw Kendi wear this last week and there was no stopping me.

Thanks to this blog and the completely insane concept of taking a picture of myself every day and posting it on the world wide web, I’ve suddenly gained some serious fashion mojo. All of a sudden it matters less and less what people think about my clothes (which is totally ironic), and more about how I feel in what I’m wearing. And I have to say; a girly, flirty, and pink number like this one is just perfect for me.

    You look amazing! I would totally rock that skirt (minus about 30 lbs at the moment though LOL) if I could! Carrie’s SATC skirt is a bit more “loud” than the one you are wearing, so don’t worry, you look elegant.

    I just stumbled across your blog (via link at little tin soldier), and I have to say I love love LOVE this outfit. I’m going to have to go searching for a similar skirt. It’s so cute, and you wear it beautifully!

      That’s so sweet! I found this skirt at a random little thrift store and fell in love. I’ve included it in my 30 for 30 items, so you may get see it again soon.
