Pink Perfection

27 May

Cardigan: Forever 21, Tee Shirt: Smart Set, Skirt: Unknown (thrifted), Shoes: Payless

This ballerina-esque, baby pink skirt reminds me of that infamous one that Carrie Bradshaw wears in the opening credits of Sex and the City. I always loved how she wore that crazy skirt with such comfort and ease, but I never imagined that I would be gutsy enough to try it. I’ve had this skirt for a while now and look at it lovingly every so often, but have never worn it in public before. Not because I don’t think it looks good, but because I was worried about what other people would think of it. Then I saw Kendi wear this last week and there was no stopping me.

Thanks to this blog and the completely insane concept of taking a picture of myself every day and posting it on the world wide web, I’ve suddenly gained some serious fashion mojo. All of a sudden it matters less and less what people think about my clothes (which is totally ironic), and more about how I feel in what I’m wearing. And I have to say; a girly, flirty, and pink number like this one is just perfect for me.

You look amazing! I would totally rock that skirt (minus about 30 lbs at the moment though LOL) if I could! Carrie’s SATC skirt is a bit more “loud” than the one you are wearing, so don’t worry, you look elegant.

Thank you, so kind! That skirt has the most amazing elastic waistband…let me know if you ever want to borrow it 🙂

That’s so sweet! I found this skirt at a random little thrift store and fell in love. I’ve included it in my 30 for 30 items, so you may get see it again soon.
      Thanks for visiting.
